Winter Spiced Fruit Pot

This is a great recipe to start your day and get those festive vibes going!

Ingredients

  • 100g frozen cherries

  • 1 apple grated

  • 1/4 teaspoon mixed spice

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (plus extra for topping)

  • 150g plain soy yogurt (or your usual variety)

  • 1 heaped tsp chia seeds (5g)

  • 1 heaped tsp flaxseed (5g)

  • 10g toasted flaked almonds

  • Maple syrup (optional)

Method

This recipes is great enjoyed when the fruit is warm (it’s like crumble for breakfast!) but if you want to prep in advance you can make it the night before and put it in the fridge overnight.

  1. Defrost the frozen cherries (on the hob, in the microwave or by leaving them out for a few hours) and add 1 apple grated plus the spices.

  2. Mix well and then top with the yogurt, seeds, almonds, extra cinnamon and maple syrup if using, in that order.

  3. Enjoy!
